I also applied 2 an agency who wants extras 4 movies etc and i got a callback ( 2mns ago) from the guy and he wants me 2 fill in forms send pics etc!!!!!
UPDATE: it is the same agency from last yr. Blackbox( noone is happy with them) : oh well! Story: I applied last yr to an ad from blackbox and i was excited. Until i found out about a $165 initial fee. so i said no. now a yr later i applied to another ad which doesn't mention Blackbox at all and i was excited cause i spoke to the guy ( the guy's name, and number were sooooo familiar, same dude from last yr) and he said no fee, but the way he said the no was kinda iffy. anyway opened my email and it was the same company. and i found out there was still the same fee. luv4u said: Book? That's great! congrats What is it about?
Thanks. The book is for would-be lawyers taking the Multistate Performance Test ("MPT"). Slightly more than half of the states use the MPT as part of their bar exam. Unlike the rest of the bar exam, the MPT doesn't really test your knowledge of the law itself. Rather, each MPT "question" is a simulated work assignment that a law firm might assign to newly-admitted attorney. You get a "File" containing various materials, including a memo with your task, a "Library" containing the law for you to use, and 90 minutes to complete the assignment. Because the book is aimed at a pretty small audience, it won't be on any bestseller lists. But it's still something of a milestone for me, as I've never had anything longer than an article published before. Please note: effective March 21, 2010, I've stepped down from my prince.org Moderator position. |

well, I thought what I had was bad news, but now Im feeling a lot more positive about it! I thought my work was going to send me to Ireland for a while immediately I started, which I wasnt happy about because I just finished my exams and I want a rest for a while! But theyre not, theyre sending me in a month, so thats cool!
So now its not: I have to go to Belfast Its: I get to go to Belfast! You gotta love that optimism thing

I better say goodbye to my social life. I get paid my bi-annual bonus next month and - as much as I could do with a holiday - I figured I definitely need a laptop and, if I don't get it now, I'll be getting one at some point anyway. So I might as well get it when the money's there. And I might get a digital camera, too. (I saw your 'hobby' thread - great idea! I think I'd like to take that up too ).

And a laptop! Cool! Thank you, love. For years and years and years, one of my dreams has been to live in a huge house, with a load of mates, all looking after and out for each other. Almost like a commune. The idea being we'll all grow old and miserable together in a place called 'Kook Mansions'. (Very similar to what Supa suggested a few weeks ago, regarding an Org Village ). In Kook Mansions there'll always be a room available for those who wish to join us and we'll just keep adding on extensions when the room runs out. Simple. You'd be amazed at how many people want to take part in this. We're not at 'mansion' status yet but two very good friends of mine - they're sisters - have bought a property just round the corner from me. I already live with their other sister so her, one of the girls buying the property and myself are going to be moving in. It'll be fab! They're all like my family, anyway. So my two mates will become my landladies. But it'll work out fine, I know it. We're just waiting for the completion to go through and - the last I heard - we should be moving in by the end of the month. One step closer to Kook Mansions. I'll be laptopping from that house in no time.

Lucky you! Does he know much about cameras?? If not, just confuse him with some high-fallutin' technological phrases and you'll soon have a top-of-the-range one in your mitts!

Ive always needed my space, and so the issue of flatmates, as long as theyre my friends, has never really bothered me. Ill usually just end up sitting in my room anyway! But I never see my flatmate now, we used to spend a lot of time together in the last flat but now we never ever do. I miss living with girls and socialising!

For me, it's a win-win situation. And virtually everyone I've ever described the concept to wants to move in. We'll just have to have a West Wing for all the married couples I know that come knocking at the door. We're gonna grow old, mad and kooky together by the looks of it. Eleanor, my mate, has already designated a trampoline room. I can't wait.

That's the thing - it's like a perfect situation for me. I've lived with quite a few people over the years, in different set-ups - all unique and with their own pros/cons - but the one thing I've always wanted to do was end up in this type of situation. I'm not on the look-out or anything but the chances of me moving in with a bloke - at the moment - are very slim. I don't think I'm ready for that sort of thing yet. But this situation... You've got the company of your mates when you want it, and your own space when you need that. And, of course, the added bonus of talking absolute rubbish as-and-when. I'm good at that.
