Fauxie

I was impressed by Spain. They always seem to be a let down in the big tournaments so you figure just once, maybe, they'll live up to their potential. I wouldn't mind seeing them do quite well this time around.

Anyway, come on England tonight! woot!

Oh boy, Neuville (the German who scored yesterday) saved my life. When hit the bar TWICE I thought we'd never score. Relief!

Very exciting game. As they all have been, bar the France v Switzerland game (and possibly the England v Paraguay).

Anyway, looks like Germany are on course for a quarter final showdown with Argentina!! wink

Which you have to give to Argentina. razz

Wow, i need to come on here more. What a cool thread. I had no idea so many liked the game on the org

Anyway, England won, even if it came very late in the game. I was very worried we'd get a draw. And John terry, well, he saved our ass from humiliation.

Crouch scored thanx to a typically fantasic ball by beckham. Beckham did well today (he always does, but even thanx to a few slack balls in, he delivered just when I thought england were gonna settle for a draw)

Yesterday, i felt sorry for the Saudi's. I thought they won, and that was a very good match.

Only two good passes in the whole friggin' game.....that's all he did! And you say he did well? wacky

we're talking about playing against Trinidad & Tobago.....

The english supporters cracked me up, singing 'Football's Coming Home' & 'God Save The Queen'

Well, i guess ur right LOL. When u put it like that. But still, that ball he gave to the lanky croach was fantastic.

And yes, iam fully aware of how woefully average england have been so far. People back here are bragging way too much. Both our games were below average, and we are so slow on the ball, not only making for less chances, but dull football to watch. We do have some good players, but we seem to rely alot on set pieces, which is a risky way of playing.

Lukily, our coach, Sven, made great subsitutions today. Iam hoping Lennon gets to play more, as he was driving the ball past defenders (something england needs to work on bigtime). Also, Owen seems to be inconsistant. Sure, getting set pieces no doubt does piss him off, but he has been off lately.

England (who are now in the last 16) would get a royal kicking if they continue playing like this. They have one game in hand (Sweden), to sort some shit out, and maybe try different formations and get gaerrard and lampard more involved offsenively.

oh puhlease.....don't pretend you know all about soccer just because you're wearing the three lions on a shirt somewhere in Nebraska.....England, with all its stars, should be ashamed of their performance today! Ofcourse, the two goals were good, but there should have been at least seven of them.....and not just in the tail of the game!

I would like to see England play Spain, Czech Republic or, yes, Holland.....they'll lose from Germany fo sho!
