What's Your Org Legacy?

When the time comes when you realize how big a drain the Org is on your real life and you leave this place for good (mr.green), will you have an Org legacy to leave behind??...Something that will live on in the posts and threads of other orgers even though you're no longer a part of it all? hmmm

For instance...

Who exactly was the first person to use "co-sign" as a way of responding?...lol...Whoever it was, that will live on in Orgville, people will continue to use it probably forever...that's their Org legacy.

The "Post A Lyric To Fit Your Mood" threads?...I think Sweeny created the first one of those nod (could be wrong, tho)...Now they're all over the place, started by everyone...and they will continue to be long after Sweeny has quit being a moderator and has moved on to marriage and 2.3 kids. (oh, she's gonna love me for that part..heh)...And the "Leave A Message For An Orger" threads are Ocean's creation...they'll be her Org legacy once she's run out of questions to ask us all and leaves for good... lol

Mine?...I guess the whole Coke-vs-Pepsi running joke...lol...Also, and I don't have any way of actually proving this, but I'm pretty sure I started the whole trend of adding a sarcastic comment above the edit statement when you had to go back and make a correction..lol..During the first few weeks after the Org went from purple and black to this version, I hated seeing that damn edit statement everytime I went back to correct a typo...so one time I wrote "So I fucked up...sue me" right above where I knew the edit statement would appear. It got some laughs in response...but within the next few weeks I started seeing more and more Orgers doing the same thing.. lol...Was I the first? I dunno. But I'll chalk it up to being my Org Legacy so that I can feel a false sense of accomplishment over a ridiculously trivial matter.. thumbs up!

So..do you have an Org Legacy to leave behind?...And if so, what would it be? hmmm

AND...if you don't think you have an Org Legacy, what do you think you'll be remebered for the most long after you've deleted your account and numerous aliases??... hmmm

I think it stands to reason that few -- if any other -- Orgers have demonstrated... consistently demonstrated, rather ... the ability to write far more than necessary.

You see, it takes a special individual to say in 20 words what most people could say just fine in five. I cannot stress that enough -- and I mean that.

I mean, really, I sometimes write just out of the pure joy that comes from constructing sentences in different ways. I love writing. I love discussion. I love being able to share perspectives with people of divergent viewpoints. That's why we all come here, right?

I mean, given the opportunity to write something in response to a thread or to give an exhaustive view on something that has irked me, I'll do it every time. And, odds are, I'll write on and on and on about it...

That's the wonderful thing about this medium -- the space to sprawl. I mean, look at me ... I'm on my fifth paragraph but haven't really said much since my first, rambling sentence. There's joy in repetition, after all.
