just wanted to add a final thank you to everyone for wishing me a happy birthday. thanks to cubic for starting and remembering (electronically wink

) and to miguel for e-mailing me and letting me know it was here too.

it was pretty good. i avoided as much birthday stuff as possible, but lots of phone calls, cards, and e-mails and such came in, which was nice. ryan and chris and steven, my best friends, tried to take me out to dinner, but i managed to talk them into ordering food at our apartment instead, so as to avoid cake and singing waiters, because i freaking HATE the birthday song, and hate being sung to as all the other restraunt patrons stare. i thought i had managed to win, but right as i gathered up my stuff to go to bed, steven came around the corner with cupcakes from magnolia cafe (best cupcakes in nyc) with a single candle stuck in the middle one... but at least they didnt sing.

so thank you all, and i will be back from the break sometime soon.
