I, too, have a possible job switch coming up. The new job which I have an interview for tomorrow is still within the Mayo Clinic, but I would be able to work DAYS for a change as opposed to evenings I'm doing now. The hours are supposed to be 9am to 5:30pm. I'm not sure if I like that. If I started two hours earlier, it would be easier to carpool, and that would save me a shitload of money, plus then I'd get home around the same time as the kids when they get home from school. As for the job, it's a lateral move, so there's no real increase in pay. I'm a bit torn on this, but I really don't want to stay on an evening shift anymore and this may be the first step in getting away from that. There's one other job I applied for but haven't heard back from which would be about the same pay again, but it has the hours I want. Unfortunately I haven't heard back about that one yet.

That he'd have the common sense not to ask stupid ass questions like these.

No. (pheew, so glad they didn't ask about my drug intake)

The interview (5 hours ago) was VERY casual. I was only interviewed by two people this time. The last few interviews I've been to have been at least 5 people. The hiring manager talked a lot more than I did or even could have. I did get the impression that they did want me for the job, though, based on my computer program experience and website development. They have two interviews on Monday, but one of them may not happen because they can't get in touch with that person. SO, if there are only three interviews and one of them is cancelled, and there are two positions open, I'd get the job! Turns out that I would get a higher pay, plus I'd be on call every 4th week and get "on call" wagesduring that time ($2.25/hour) for that full week (Monday evening through Monday morning)...let's see, that'd be 168 hours minus 40 hours times 2.25...$288.00 extra dollars that week! Hell yeah! They said that people have RARELY had to come in to work for a call-in problem, so that's even better.

I SOOOOO WANT THIS JOB!
