some people like vanilla some like chocolate. others prefer vegetables over meat. that's all fine and good; but, there are just some things that i can't understand how people can eat. some things should not be considered food.

such as...

Cottage Cheese!! YUCK!!!! feeling ill it smells bad- tastes even worse- and it just looks wrong! how can people stomach that shit?!?! isn't it just really spoiled milk? i don't care what you mix into it, or eat it on, it's just foul.
when i see omeone eat cottage cheese, i just want to smack it out of their mouth.

Ocra ill ok...who thought that something that resembles mucus should be made for human consumption?

Asparagus (cooked) the very thought of it makes me hurl. when i was younger, a family friend had cooked it along with eggs. i coudn't eat it. she said, it's ok, i'll just give it to the dog. well bon apetit!

Liver perhaps the worst meat product ever. barf makes me want to become a vegetarian that much more.

Cooked Cabbage soul food my ass. it makes the house reak! and it seems and i'm sure tastes like a wet dirty piece of cardboard. i don't care how healthy that is, i'll find something else.

Cooked Spinach i learned my lesson early on. i asked my mom to make some so i could be like Popeye....big mistake. needless to say i had to sit there until i finished everything on my plate. bawl fuck Popeye mad

and how can people eat rare meat? all that blood gushing out as they cut into it; why not just eat it raw?

those are some of my dislikes. what foods or drinks do you dislike the most and why?
biggrin

I love okra, asparagus, & cooked spinach/cabbage. biggrin

And I agree about putting nuts on everything, it doesn't make it better mad

The only food I absolutely hate is tomato - must be cooked/stewed, raw is just disgusting!

I never eat liver, cottage cheese, anything w/ a wacky consistency.

stewed or cooked okra is kind of nasty, i'll admit. i LOVE it fried, but i tried to cook it into a sauce with some other veggies once and it was like i'd mixed in little snotbooger nuggets. it was gross.

I love onions cooked or raw.

But, OMG do I agree with you on milk ill

*ALL* milk smells sour and spoiled to me. Everytime I even think about drinking it I want to barf

Then when I learned about the milk industry's cruel treatment of cows, it solidified my distaste for it.

For some reason, this doesn't apply to ice cream shrug

Funny that. My dislike of onions doesn't apply to onion rings. They can fry anything and I'll eat it.

a couple friends and i tried some once. it wasn't bad really. not that i want it again though. it was like a flavourless meat. they gave us something to dip it in, which didn't do much. 1 was more than enough for me. needless to say, i'll pass if it's ever offered to me again.

I tried it once & really liked it nod It was in a garlic/butter sauce & had a lot of flavor. I think it had some kind of cheese on the top too. I'd eat it again if prepared that way smile

oh my god.....are you serious? I love pork rinds. drool don't even get me started on cracklin cornbread drool Whenever my grandma or mama used to make it, I'd always eat the left over cracklins by itself. I can't really eat fat back though....it's a tad bit too salty for me.

Teacher

I'm going "yep" and "oh my god ill " a whole lot. Here are some of mine:

Cooked veggies - the consistency makes me hurl, as Imago said, carrots :shudder:
Mushrooms - again with the consistency. Spongy things should not be eaten.
Offal - just, just... no.
Eggplant, squash, peas, brussel sprouts, cabbage, beans and lotsa other veggies - ill
Haggis barf

I'm sure there are lots more hmmm

I guess it depends on how you make it. I've always had it as a meatless side dish to be eaten with rice. I'm sure it differs from island to island.
