Hi Charlotte, sorry to hear your feeling down at the moment. I'm not sure what to suggest, sorry - I think Byron had the closest to what I'd suggest.

Are you and your husband able to get a weekend away together? Maybe you could both do with some time out together, no kids?

Or maybe you could arrange a dinner party? Get the kids off to the grandparents', invite some old friends over - maybe some you haven't seen in a long time? Get that wine out!

Sorry, I don't have kids but I can imagine your time is precious.

I am planning the night away - it will be in August, which gives you an idea how hard doing this is with 3 boys nobody is prepared to mind all at once!

My husband is not home 3-4 nights a week. He likes the kids a lot because he rarely sees them, I would like the opportunity to miss the kids!!

Write a story. It's a good way to escape and you can control what happens to the characters. Doesn't have to be for anyone but yourself. Once you get into it, you won't want to stop.

I write down the crazy scenarios in my head in a notebook.
