Life changes

After being in the family business for 34 years, we've found a buyer for it, and although the contracts haven't been signed yet, it looks like I'll be looking for a job sometime in the future. I've never worked at another place for long periods of time, as I think it was expected that i'd take the business over. Owning your own business has its rewards such as being your own boss, and making the decisions that affect what you do, rather then be told what to do. There are negatives though. I've worked on every holiday so the employees can be off. When the business isn't profitable, I don't get paid. for months. I get called at 2am when the business is broken into...
Anyway..I think I'm going to stay in the industry, but work for someone else.
I'll probably make more money.
I've never had to put together a resume, but now I will have to.
I've never been interviewed for a job, really..
I am a college grad, with an advanced degree..and I know my assets.
Still, life changes bring anxiety (no, not the type that live in chicago).
Reading many of your threads, I know that i have many blessings. my family and loved ones and friends are in relatively (no pun intended) good health, and have roofs over their heads. Still, I'm..I don't want to say scared, because scared wouldn't be the exact term of what I'm feeling...but I feel unsure of what tommorrow will bring. Not that anyone of us really know what tommorrow will bring...
Thanks for listening.
I feel better for having expressed the thoughts
Love,
Me

Does this mean you won't be able to waste your own dollars posting on the internet anymore?

gratuitious is such a dirty word. How about posting your picture because the ladies love it when I do?

Im going through a time of change at the moment too. Well maybe not so much change, but Ive decided I want to make some changes and theyll probably be pretty big ones. And it is really scary, i agree nod Even though there are positives to the change its still scary to actually accomplish. I wish you well and Im sure you just need to ride it out, theres always a light at the end of the tunnel rose
