What is the Best Wildlife Documentary Series?

I'm thinking about getting blue planet:

This is multi disc BBC set:

My primary concern is that I want my newphews to watch it, and I (Believe it or not) would prefer they see how nature really is, beauty, and violence and all. I don't want a sterile documentary, but one that is alive and draws you in.

Does anyone have any good recommendations?

no.

I'll have to check it out. I'm more interested in the ocean documentary, but overall I'd like to get the that as well.

Thanks Lars! As always you're the best for saving my crap threads! hug

The Beeb's wildlife documentaries are the best and world renowned. Sir David Attenborough's work is difficult to top.

agreed - i've been watching "life in the undergrowth", which is all about bugs, and it's both beautiful and creepy. the icky stuff is better than any horror movie that's come out in the last ten years, easily.
