I got my mum a gold Versace puffer vest ($6 at the salvos) with the name emblazoned on the back in 300pt type falloff she wears it when she's out raking leaves on cold days giggle

OMG, so freakin' true. lol

I don't wear logo gear, with the exception of a couple of Prince-related shirts. I might wear something with a logo that I found funny or ironic, but I don't have anything like that at the moment. Oh, and I might make an exception for Apple gear, just because I love their products so much. I don't think I currently have any, though. I dunno, there are a couple of designers that I really like. . . Prada. . . Versace . . . I guess if there were some item of clothing or whatever from them that looked cool and happened to have a logo, I might wear it. But it's hard to imagine the logo actually adding to the appeal.

I can certainly imagine being appropriately compensated for a tattoo or something. I'm happy to whore myself out (as long as I don't find the company to be totally objectionable). I'm just not gonna be a billboard for free.

I almost picked up a gorgeous lime green prada bag at a consignment shop recently.

Anx

i just remembered...i didn't answer my own question!

i'm somewhere between #1 and #2. i'm a concert-t whore, especially over summer...but if it doesn't look good on me and if i don't like the graphic, then i either won't buy it or else it ends up as a gym shirt. there are some clothing brands i'll wear - i love the monkey logo on ben davis clothes, and i like the dickies logo a lot...the converse all star logo is cool by me...but shit like CK and all that designer stuff, i'm not so big on. i like kenneth cole clothes, but i wouldn't wear stuff with the name plastered all over it. other people might be able to work it with a little bit of camp irony, but it's just not me.

as for #3, i'm way too anally principled to walk around with a gap logo on my shirt without giving it a second thought. i agree with ace - one's chest is prime advertising real estate. nod
