am i a freak? cause i am ADDICTED to watching 'Antiques Roadshow'??
its not like i have a house (yet) or have ever gone antiquing but i frigging love this show. i actually get excited when someone has a big ticket item. i'm such a loser. anyone else like this show. or like shows that other people may think are lame??  you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel

i think it's very  of you 
i love antiques... i am sitting on a 94 year old highback chair from my grandparent's homestead and sitting at an old school teacher's desk from the school where my parents went as teenagers. my house will be full of old stuff... in fact i have to keep reminding myself that there really is no need to buy anything new ever again  we still have three of my uncle's houses to empty She couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay | |

I don't watch very much T.V. at all ( not for any moral reasons or nothin'. Cuz of my long job hours), but one the few programs I watch is this one.
I like it when they try to explain the historic value of an item to some hillbilly who, while blankly nodding his head, you can tell he/she is really thinking, "Yeah yeah, now how much beer money is it worth?". | |

What's not to love? A whole load of people dragging mysterious old stuff to a local area of interest and watching their faces when they tell them it's worth £££££££ (or $$$$$) and they were expecting £1.50. Even better when they tell them it's worth £1.50 when they expected £150,000.00 Hysterical! | |

Even better when they tell them it's worth £1.50 when they expected £150,000.00 Hysterical! i know!! the best one on todays episode (wow...this is going to be sooooo loserish...sorry pill!!) was this elderly lady that bought this miniture painting of these 2 kids for $5 at an estate sale cause she "thought it was precious"...come to find out it is painted on ivory by a well known miniture artist (there are those??) and is worth an estimated $35,000!!! i thought the old bird was going to have a coronary!!! she had to get him to repeat the amount 3 times!!! you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel
