mine came out when i was in high school, with the rerelease of the original three (but souped up) into the theatres. its only plastic, and it's collapsible. i don't think it would hold up if you got too aggressive.... but i don't know what the new ones are like.

Every time I have come across while the want to buy was there, the only light saber that was avilible was DarthMaul. I would need a green or violet or at least a blue.
