and yes, i always get fucked over by this practice. fortunately, my boss has really empowered to start giving the smackdown and not let "the team" turn their emergencies into my emergencies. after 12 years in admin, it's sooooo good to have a boss who gets it.

I saw this thread the other day and I had to reply...

Agree with so many comments posted already. No big deal but I've got to go on a Team Lunch in a sec.

I really, really, really don't want to go but if I go and keep myself to myself, I won't be seen as a 'team player'. If I don't go, the same happens. I guess I just gotta swallow my pride, go along and pretend I'm interested in talking about work for the next hour and a half.
