Ever notice that? Am I in some groovy time warp? Didn't I read this same thread 2 years ago? I'm remembering it when I was in Denver. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

okay, just making sure. and yes, i always get fucked over by this practice. fortunately, my boss has really empowered to start giving the smackdown and not let "the team" turn their emergencies into my emergencies. after 12 years in admin, it's sooooo good to have a boss who gets it. http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

I saw this thread the other day and I had to reply...
Agree with so many comments posted already. No big deal but I've got to go on a Team Lunch in a sec. I really, really, really don't want to go but if I go and keep myself to myself, I won't be seen as a 'team player'. If I don't go, the same happens. I guess I just gotta swallow my pride, go along and pretend I'm interested in talking about work for the next hour and a half. [Edited 5/26/06 4:33am]

I prefer to work alone so I don't have to blame anyone for mistakes but myself. AND I get all the glory, as it's sure to be fantastic

Unless it's one of my mates/work colleagues and we're slagging off the company then I don't want to talk shop. Being here is bad enough - I don't want to re-live it. Having said that, I think my post above is just due to the fact I'm in a bit of a crabby mood today. It wasn't that bad, actually - and it was free. But, otherwise, I totally agree with you.

sums it up training is a whole other horror show. Training. Yeuch. Usually just an excuse for people to ponce about and the company to find an excuse to embarrass you. But I'm not cynical.

in my experience, training consists of someone who knows less than i do showing me how to do something the wrong way and talking to me as if i were a brain damaged baboon while doing so.
