when the first movie came out, i was hoping for angela bassett to play storm. i think everyone was, even though i'm sure she was way too old to play the role (she STILL doesn't look it, though). she has SUCH the perfect face for storm.

Actually, I think she's always looked older and more serious than her age.

you mean the character of storm? i agree.

We got Wolverine movies to come, so maybe a cameo. I need more Sabretooth.

I'm excited, but I've been looking at spoiler sites and I think I've sort of slightly tainted the experience for myself.

There promises to be a lot of good moments... and some disappointments. But word has it that while this is definitely the end of the trilogy, there's lots of room left for more X-men stories, spinoffs, etc.

I think Angela might be too old, but Naomi or Nona Gaye would rock that character!

Yeah, with Beast and Angel in the new movie, Iceman is the only one of the original X-Men not to get the full treatment. I would have liked to see those cross-town ice runways, like in Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends... wink

Iman would make a great Storm, too.

BTW, I just read on IMDB that a Magneto movie is scheduled for 2007 - given the interviews I've read regarding the anti-aging technology used for flashbacks of Prof. X and Magneto in this movie, it seems that Ian McKellan will play Magneto, even though this is set when he was a young man soon after WWII!

Back in the day my best friend and I wanted JANE KENNEDY to be storm (George Perez art) Iman (John Byrne art) and we even thought about Angela Bassett (agree with Anx).

"Naomi with a mohawk, I know, I know it serious."

I really hope that they make the women BAS ASS like they are in the comic book. C'mon the women are really the most powerful out of all of them but in the first two X-Men they made them wimps.

"Wolverine.....get on top....
Wolverine.....you will cop.....
Wolverine.....don't you stop.....Wolverine.....she boogie WHACK POW ZOCK!!"

From what I've heard, I think you'll be at least a bit impressed... Storm and Jean kick !@# in this movie, as do the females on Magneto's side. I hear Rogue's part is kinda small and disappointing, but Shadowcat supposedly steals the show in certain scenes. thumbs up!

...and I really hope they have Psylocke teleport into a shadow somewhere. excited

Wait, she can teleport now? To think I knew her back in the day...

Remember the older, non-sexy, motherly version of Psylocke?

I'm so leary of this film. Hearing how they just kill off or de-power major characters REALLY pisses me off.
