1. They are good shopping buddies and know what good fashion is and can spend hours shopping and playing dress up with me.
2. I know when they hit on my its harmless and not some sleezy horny male lookin for a good fuck.
3. When I ask them if this dress makes me look fat...they will tell me it makes me look like a heffa and to go change into something else unlike most men who tell me no I look lovely when I really don't...I love their honesty.
4. They can be just as much of a Diva as me.
5. They never try to steal my boyfriends like my girls have tried to do.
6. If they look better then me they don't run it in like catty girls do.
7. They have the abilitly to see things from the male and female point of view.

Those are not the reasons I like to hang out with gay men. I wouldn't trust any of my guy friends, queer or not, to make fashion choices for me, and I don't worry about my girlfriends, few though they are, pulling that catty bullshit.

I think I just like to hang out with men in general. Women, sexy bitches though they are, bug the hell out of me most of the time.

But almost all of my guy friends are, in fact, gay.

I guess the lack of sexual tension is nice. I'm a cuddly person, and I can snuggle with my gay boys with no risk of it being taken the wrong way. I don't know. It's just nice to have all of that crap off the table.

But that's not all of it.

I've joked that I think I'm a gay man in a woman's body. In all truth, if I were to wake up and think about how I FEEL as a person without having all of the baggage of my female body and upbringing, I think I'd identify as a gay man. I don't have that disturbing trapped-in-the-wrong-body thing going on that transgendered people describe. But. . . I sure as hell can't identify with straight people or lesbians. I identify with my queer boys.

Which can be sad, because. . . well, I'm not one. So I'm kind of out of place whomever I'm with. Ah, well.
