Did I miss something? It's been rumored for years. I had friends from Chicago in college and they swore up and down that he and Oprah's hairdresser Andre were sleeping together. I've never cared enough one way or the other to invest anything in the rumor.

By the end of his speech on his experience and book (replete with attacks on black fraternities), it was interesting to be black, straight and decidedly un-D.L. Sisters felt wounded by bad decisions made by brothers of that D.L. persuasion (and rightly so).
But, I thought it was interesting, how suspicion for sleeping around had expanded to include closeted gay sex, too. He's got some interesting things to say. Unfortunately, it's spoken through such an egomaniacal filter that the message is lost. Yeah, he was still riding high from his Oprah appearance. Which is understandable.

It's sad that "ON THE D.L." has been equated with black men seeing other men behind their wive's backs. I remember when it was synonymous with "CREEP". On the down low just meant that you were doing something without anyone knowing. M MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! I hate that kind of romantic, irresponsible betrayal (which was the real context) has taken on any kind of ethnic branding. I suspect King's perpetuated that stereotype to further his own capitalistic goals. It's not as if black men invented the closet. But, his book has, I hope, generated discussion within the Church (especially the black Church). It's a phenomenon that is affecting many families.

My girlfriend always said that paranoid accusations of cheating are a warning sign that the accuser is cheating themselves. Maybe this is a source of Meltwithu's problems--the wife is cheating. What I don't understand is, if she thinks he is sleeping with you, why is she still with him? She sounds like an extremely insecure woman if she will stay with a man that she suspects is sleeping with another man.
There are crazy bitches like that though. A good friend of mine set a woman up to walk in and catch him in bed with her man. That bitch is still with the guy today and he is sleeping with both men and women behind her back. Andy is a four letter word.

some people are just stupid. You should have said; "Well yes, actually. Of course I am going to another city to cheat on you, I had all the other men in THIS city." And then just smile angelically. I mean, like, where is the sun?
