ok... so first two sentimental pictures from the weekend
i stopped the truck on the way home to snap this sunset one


and here is my mother pointing to the horizon
where my grandfather would take the sleigh in the winter
across the frozen lake to a post office where he met my grandmother
this is their land we are standing on - checking out how the new crop is doing
(and my dad is in the distance)

i was trying to do something byron-esque but it wasn't working so i will just do it the old fashioned way

ok so... today was a good day we finally got some rain
and i went to sears outlet and got a very smart looking pair of loafers for $2
plus a computer shoulder bag for $3

i stopped at the garden center and happened to notice some plants that i just had to buy once i saw them
(see if you can find the purple name of them in the picture below hehehe)
when i came home i decided to sprinkle some lawn seed on some bare patches of my poor fried lawn
and ran into this little fella!



here's my little frog prince beside his flower
we grow our bunnies big here but our froggies tiny


and then i set him free under a cedar where the cats wouldn't get him
