Tricks of the Trade share your tricks of the trade here!
as a petsitter i've learned that: - if a dog won't eat, dust his food with a tiny amount of garlic powder, mix with some water, and watch him inhale the entire bowl! - for a shy cat, get within 5 feet of her and stick out your hand - they can't resist checking you out! then wait until they rub their faces on your hand, and you're friends for life! - most importantly: avoid poop bags with holes in them! as a grantwriter, i've learned to: - write on an 8th grade level, at the most. grant reviewers look at hundreds of grants in one cycle - don't lose them with fancy linguistic footwork! as a professional alkie, i've learned that: - tonic water and seltzer must be very cold before you open the bottle, or it will spew out... as a "professional" (or rather, repeated) weight loss expert, i've learned that: - ya gotta eat to lose weight! and as a translator, i've learned that: - an English translation has more words than the German original. so if you're charging by the word, be sure to do more German-to-English translations! so, what are your professional insights other orgers may benefit from?

from work:
1) When doing application distributions use Novell ZEnworks 6.5 (or any version after 1.1) for for Lights out distributions. Zenworks snaps into bot e-directory, and Active directory, and can be used with any L-Dap compliant directory service to save your company 3000% (no joke) ROI. From play: 2) Hillsborough County state park is the nicest nature viewing park in the Tampa bay area. Stop by parking lot# 2, and take a short stroll (about 1/10th of a mile) to the river rapids (yes, rapids). The initial trail takes you along a crystal clear river with observation decks and a wonderful walkway. You can see fish and the river bottom with ease. From relationships 3) When a girl tells you about something that is bothering her, don't bother to tell her the obvious steps she needs to take to remedy the situation--she'll just think you're an asshole. Rather, sit and listen to her talk, ask a few questions about how she feels, and she'll be all better by the time the talk is done.

It's platform independent and doesn't require your company to marry yourself to any particular directory service offering! believe me woman!

Your avatar excites and pains me in equal measures. Is there any way we can get the mods to make them clickable to see them at full size?
