dating it's been 19 years since I've been out on a date. That's how long I've been with my wife.
I used to love/hate blind dates. There was a thrill and excitement to see if the person who answered the door lived up to the descriptions given me before hand. The first date had alot of pressure. Put the best foot forward, use best manners, be charming, witty, entertaining, chivalrous, etc....yes, I should have just been myself, but I didn't learn that till later There was also a thrill at the end of the night if things went well, of whether or night there would be a goodnight kiss, or be invited in for coffee. Then it was a question of how long to wait before calling for a second date. Tuesday was my protocal for a Saturday date. Don't forget we're talking 19 years ago. There were rules. I always paid for the date. Some dates were lots of fun, some dates were torture..no conversation..no chemistry...etc. I'd go through periods of lots of dates with different people..then a few months of no dates at all. First dates were usually going for drinks, or drinks and dinner. I'd let them choose the restaurant. second dates I'd try to go to a comedy club, or movies...and dancing. (i think Im a good dancer btw) After a third date, I'd ask for a work number if I didn't have it, and I'd give a call at work just to say hi. so anyway...how do you feel about dating?

Dating - I haven't done it over 20 years and I'm glad I don't have to. I would hate to be out there in the dating world today.

I used to hate it, but it's not all that bad. It's exciting when you hit it off with someone new.
I can't imagine 19 years with one person though. I hope someday I can, and I hope that when I do I like it

I haven't ever really "dated" around. or gone on dates. I kind of just find someone I really, really like and start in all heavy with them. I moved in with my current boyfriend after we had been dating for only two months. With my last boyfriend, we moved in together after our first date! I mean, like, where is the sun?

I love first dates. Even if you don't connect, you can usually have a nice time with that person.
I don't do blind dates. | |

Ex-Moderator | I'm a horrible dater. I wouldn't even date me. I'm shy and awkward and lose all conversation skills. At least, if I really like the guy.
If it's a good date for me chances are I'm not all that interested. |

You crazy! the situation I'm in now was sort of forced upon us and there wasn't really any other good solutions. I could have stayed in London and lived with my ex, moved back to California and move back IN with my parents, or move in with the current and help with the business. I chose the latter. I do lurve relationships, though. I'm not a serial-relationshipper (at least not to my knowledge ), but sometimes really great guys just fall into your lap. I mean, like, where is the sun?

I don't mind the dating part, it's the finding someone to date in the first place thats a pain in the ass! I don't know what it's like for you guys, but here its seems the only place to meet guys is in bars and clubs, and theyre all always drunk and just plain annoying!!

I'm the relationship type of gal, so dating is a necessary EVIL in order for me to find "the one" (whateva that is). I hate the mind games, the unknown of it all, the rituals....all that. But ya do what ya gotta do. "Bring friends, bring your children and bring foot spray 'cause it's gon' be funky." ~ Prince
