My name is Nicole, always has been, always will be..

I am not Nicola, Nichola, Nic, Nicky, Nikki, Nicolette, Cole or anything else.

So why is it when I send an email to someone.. my name is clearly at the bottom, do I get a reply that says: Dear Nicola




It pisses me off, that people havent the common courtesy to spend a teeny bit of time (and effort) to check my name, and get it right..

What gets me is when I am having an important discussion with someone at work and another person enters the room and interrupts without saying "excuse me", assuming their issue is more important than mine. It happens mostly with men, some of whom are in lesser roles than I!!!

I work in an office, and call people as you do. So I sometimes have to leave messages

Then a while later I here my collegues saying....

I feel ya. I get irate when people take it upon themselves to 2 shorten my name, especially when they don't know me.

This gets on my tits so much.

You're shopping. You go to pay. You're at the till and throughout the whole transaction the person behind the till is having a conversation to their friend. By the time you leave the shop no-one has even said thank you or anything.


Yes, I know I sound about 100 years old but this really pisses me off.
