...and off to syndication heaven...goodbye 'WILL & GRACE' !!!!!!

Tonight is the final W&G and I gotta admit I'm a bit sad....though I was hanging on by a thread between Seasons 5-7...I think this final season got better and I actually laughed! I know many of you gave up after Harry Connick Jr subplot and the writing went to shit and there were way to many celeb guests.....but for those that were fans...you gotta admit..Seasons 1-4 are some of the greatest pieces of comedy ever written.

I'm having a lil shindig at my apartment with friends to wish them a farewell.

I will miss my crazy drunk Karen the most...she is the main reason I held on during the bad years.....may she and Rosario ride off on a Harley off to the sunset!

peace!
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

how many seasons was it on? i've never seen a single episode. well, not true. i've seen one, at a friend's house. then, i was at another friend's house a year or so later, and it came on as a syndicated re-run...and it was the same damn episode! something about a dinner party and harry connick, jr. and a cat and someone getting upset about something. that's all i remember. RIP.

That would be my answer. I stopped watching prime time TV shows about 15 years ago.

So, I just watched the finale. I realize W&G hasn't been funny in years, but it deserved better than a send-off like that. It was totally lame.

The ending was schmaltzy, but I was expecting as much.
I cried. touched
But it could just be cause I'm hormonal. giggle

I can't imagine a better character on television than Karen Walker. I sooooo want to be her when I grow up.

Are you serious?
She totally ruined the show for me... mad
So I expect a spin-off series based around her one-dimensional character... confused

She's not one dimensional.
She's a drunk AND a pill-popper AND fabulous AND fabulously wealthy AND hilarious AND she has great tits.

yeah, the show really lost its edge in the past few years. But, last nite's episode did make me laugh it times. It's very hard to be satisfied with the end of a show. In some ways I like that they went the "flash forward" route (like Six Feet Under did) to show us how the character's end up, but it was really cheesy.

Ah well, now it's done. I wonder if Megan (Karen) will have ANY success as a talk show host. I'd be a bit shocked if people are ready to see her as anything but Karen yet. Still, good luck to her!

Will and Grace quit being friends. Will had a baby and was with the cop guy (never learned his name as the character annoyed me). Grace stayed with Leo (Harry Connick). They almost made up once and then just didn't talk again.

W&Gs kids met at college and fell in love and were about to get married. W&G met again at this college as the kids were moving in and became friends again.

Karen left Stan. He was broke so she lost ALL her money. Jack played that little Leslie guy for a minute to get some money. Leslie (literally) flew off his balcony and died, leaving jack all his money. So Jack supported Karen.

and that's that.

I watched the show the first couple of seasons, but then I got bored. I found it to be very silly and immature. When they started inviting all the celebrity guests on, that's when I said adios. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did.

yeah, you can group me in that too. I have a few that I can tolerate, but nothing I'm addicted to. Arrested Development was great. My name is Earl can be humorous, but on the whole, prime time TV just sucks. I can't stand just about every popular show out there. Prison Break, Lost, all the CSI's, 24, all the reality rubbish, I hate it all.

It still boggles my mind how EVERYBODY wants to host a friggin talk show confuse But I wish her well, though I don't plan to watch. On another note, I had no idea how beautiful her voice is eek When she & Jack sang Unforgettable I was like woot!

I thought the ending was okay. I loved the show and stayed until the very end. Yeah, the early years were the best but hey everything has to come to an end.

Ok, I had to torrent it.

Worst series finale EVER! biggrin

But Jack and Karen singing "Unforgettable" was great. Those two were always the stars of the show. Karen has got to be one of the best sitcom characters ever.

Ditto....Show shoulda been called 'Jack & Karen'....

I dont think the finale sucked that bad...I thought it was cool how they time traveled...It was also bittersweet...I have a relationship with my hag much like Will & Graces (without all the annoying drama)...but we used to see alot of ourselves in them..esp in the early years when one would have a date and the other would cheer them on...and the late night chats and the barging over to each others house and hang out. She has found her Leo and is expecting and I will be one proud uncle when my nephew is born this September!

I could cry right now! sad A bittersweet cry!
