I step out of the shower, put it up in a towel, then brush it out. I blow-dry it (to get it dry, not straight!) and then use a straightener to straighten my bangs and, if I'm going out, straighten and/or flip out the ends. My hair is very very straight and silky - very Asian I've been told - so generally it's pretty easy to work with. When I used to flip my hair out and sweep my bangs to the side... that took daaays. My hair doesn't hold curl very well and I have a big cowlick in the middle of my forehead that makes swept bangs quite the chore. december 2005 vs. april 2006 it looks like a tiny difference... but it's shaved about 20 minutes off my morning! aw... you're so cute! I was just gonna say the same thing...Pam, you're a doll.

Back when I used to relax it, it was a pain in the ass It got to the point where it wouldn't hold a curl, it was brittle. Mind you I'd been perming for years & years. I know when they started doing the wrap styles I was relieved b/c I only had to curl it twice a week or so, do that little wrap shit at night, fluff it out in the morning & be GONE. THAT was cool... But I've been perm free for about 10 years now ala the loc goddess Cassandra Wilson...
I love it. So I'm absolutely no help at all

i wish most sista's though like this, especially my mom! JUST SAY NO TO THE CONK!! weirdest thing is that at damn near every beauty store you go to they sell afro wigs...why in the world would you wanna BUY an afro when you can grow yer own for free??
