It's storming like crazy in Chicago, and there's some shit falling from the sky that's reminding me of those crazy frogs in Magnolia...it's only hail, but the sound it's making against my windows and the buildings is INSANE, and looking out the window I see sheets of ice cubes falling from the sky. Freaky. With the accompaniment of the thunder, it's scary and beautiful at the same time.

I didn't see this coming on the morning weather report.

yeah its crazy me and my kids made it in just in time. i got windows in my ceiling and its really loud! it just raining really heavy. i don't see any hail. maybe that was earlier. i just woke up.

i loved it when it first came out, but i watched it again a couple of months ago and the seams showed for me big time. funny how you can grow out of a movie that moves you so much when you first see it, then when you check it out again years later, it's like "this is manipulative, formulaic crap!"

the same thing happened to me with the film adaptation of "the color purple". when i first saw it in the theaters, i thought it was the most amazing thing ever. nowadays, i think it has some pretty cinematography and some good performances, but it's SOOOO manipulative and cartoony and even kinda camp.
