my eyes hurt, my head hurts, my nose hurts, my nose is stopped up AND running, my body is sore and i got chills; my mommy was here and told me i was warm. now i have this cough that hurts i can't believe i went to work today! i will never do it again. they let me leave early. i'm gonna drink some tea and chill. funny this cold has made me hungry, i just had a turkey club. i think i'm gonna go get a burger

i don't take medicine much (dunno why) but i have tea. besides its so messed up outside here in Chicago that i dunno if i want to go out there

drink LOTS of ginger tea
if u can get the roots in the store, peel'em, crush'em up and boil them until it's very very strong, tea bags are alright too (if you buy the jamaican kind) but usually not strong enough

but ginger helps
and it's oh so tasty too


also, another jamaican remedy, squeeze a full lemon, and mix it with equal parts of honey..it tastes gross, but what it does is breaks up the cold quicker, you'll feel phlegmy in a day or two, and that's when you'll know you're getting better

OR!! (ha!) if u do have a fever, and have any white rum around -again, jamaican kind is best!- soak a SMALL cloth in it (if u would like to spare it LOL) and sop it on your forehead


i know these all sound strange, but i've tried each one, and they work

that's about the only good advice my mom has ever given me

I hope you feel better soon, honey I've had some kind of virus for two weeks now...something nasty is going around.

i got some ibuprofen. hopefully this will knock me out. otherwise its gonna be a long night
