My first "45" - "Outta Space" by Billy Preston age 10

First album - "Headhunters" by Herbie Hancock age 10
for the song "Chameleon".

I was a funky little kid!!! lol

I had my little record player in my room and I would rock out! lol

The GREASE Soundtrack in '78. I must have been in 2nd grade maybe. Mind you, I had been on countless other record shopping expeditions with my mom and big sister, but this is the 1st time I used my own dough to get my own record without anybody's help. That's one thing that was cool about my childhood, we couldn't get away with very much with a relatively strict upbringing and all..but my parents had NO problems whatsover with practically throwing money at us so we could each build our own personal record collections cool

First record I ever bought,

12" Single was Prince - Lets Go Crazy

Album was Purple Rain.


However first record I actually owned was bought for me by a friend on my Birthday and it was ELO - Don't Bring Me Down and Moody Blues - Knights in White Satin.

I've mentioned this before. The only two 8-Track tapes that I have are of the ACE FREHELY and PAUL STANLEY solo albums. They are both great.
