i just listened to my sister julie's vinyl and later my other sister's cassette purchases - she was the one who bought 1999

but i think my first purchase with babysitting money was stevie nicks on cassette

The first 3 albums I owned were all purchased at the same time and they were Purple Rain, Thriller and Like A Virgin.
The first actual record I ever owned was the 12" single for Walk Like an Egyptian.

Instead of albums,I bought lots of singles as a kid. I used the rest of my money to buy Barbies
