It was good. Finales are tough, because the goodbyes are often trite (writing-wise).
Still, it was good and balanced the sentimentality with apathy in all the right places. I dug it. Whom was pardoned, though? I missed that part.

Was this the first time we heard CJ's full name?
Im trying to watch bravo cause they just started to run it from the beginning, but they seem to have some out of order episodes, so it doesnt flow very well. The only thing i dont like so far, is that characters just get introduced and disappear. Josh's ex girlfriend, and that republican blonde woman. Where did they go? CJ's full name is used semi-frequently. Mandy.... yeah, she's a notorious one for having disappeared without another mention. She was there on the last episode of season 1, and not there in the first episode of season 2, even though they took place the same day/night. They did refer to Ainsley Hayes a few times after she disappeared. And she came back for Leo's funeral a couple of weeks ago.

No, that's Amy (MaryLouise Parker). lazycrockett is referring to Mandy (Moira Kelly) who DID disappear "mysteriously" (and think god, i couldn't stand her acting or her character).

k well i havent heard cjs name used yet, like i said im still season one/two
and the ex girlfriend im referring to was the dark curly haired woman who wrecked the car as she was talking/driving her car in D.C. As stated in the earlier post Bravo may be running episodes out of order or just skipping some entirely, causes shes not been seen or mentioned since. I'd love to say I did, but unfortunately, Australian television is only up to season four Still, it's one of the best shows around, that's for sure. Does the overall quality of the show stay or slip towards the end? Is it true that the writers change round season 5 or 6?

I watched it and loved it - I thought it was a fitting ending. No major twists or turns (I expected Josh and Donna to have eloped and announce that they're married, and Danny to propose to CJ) - I think it worked really well leaving that kind of stuff unsaid. The scene between Charlie and the new guy replacing him brought up a sense of 'life goes on', which I thought balanced out the sad ending.
All in all, I thought it was as perfect as a West Wing series finale could be.

It did dip some in season 5, but it picked itself back up in large part of 6 & 7. personally, i thought the quality had slipped some in season 4 even before Sorkin left, up until the very end of the season

I've only seen a few episodes but really liked what I saw. Unfortunately, like "£, I've just haven't had the time to keep up to speed with it. "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

No it was Josh's ex girlfriend. In the 2nd episode shes driving and talking on her cell and well not wrecks but bangs up the car. She was working for Barletss Competition and Then came to the White House.....and disappeared. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

yes. 100% the confusion is in the fact that another character that was Josh's girlfriend showed up later (and ended up working in the white house).
