I used to watch him a long time ago, they play him on the BBC America now but I don't watch that show anymore. He died back in the 90"s sometime, I think he had a heart attack.

Oh, I can't watch that show. It makes me feel ill. He died ages ago. The show was made in the seventies.

Michael Jackson was a fan and visited him on his deathbed - which says it all really.

Never found him funny in the slightest, and yet Aussies I'm known have all really said how much they loved his show. shrug

'Classic' British humour is stuff like Blackadder and Only Fools and Horses. nod

I was gonna say that when I saw this thread yesterday. For some reason, Benny Hill seems to be revered across the world but - ask anyone in Britain - and they all give the confused face. Unless you're over 50.

Although I did love him when I was a kid. smile

Here's an amusing mash-up of Kelis' "Milkshake" and The Benny Hill theme.

It has to be heard to be believed!

i never found him funny at all, although i'll admit that clip is mildly amusing.

i'm a big fan of monty python!! is that considered "classic british humour"?

(ps-notice the spelling of "humor/humour"? out of respect for python!!)

also was recently introduced to "the mighty boush" and think that is completely hilarious!! though i've only seen a few episodes b/c they don't air it over here. confused

Actually Benny Hill died Of a Heart Attack in his chair at his apt.

He wasnt found untill like 3 days after his death.

And from what ive read, MJ was no where near his deathbed.
