I turned into "Chloe" from "24" at work today!

Baby Jesus help me...

I do believe I'm turning into "Chloe" from "24" during the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time)

I was talking with coworkers today about movies ("Snakes on a Plane" in particular) and they were going on and on about how film wasn't an artform and it's quality is purely subjective and how I just like to go "against the grain" and how could so many people be wrong since "Titanic" was such a hit...it went on and on and on...I felt like a trapped animal about to chew off it's own leg...

...and then the "Chloe" came out...

and I said, "Movies like that are for people with average intelligence" and then one of the managers came in and I thanked her for getting them out of my office (!)

I couldn't help myself...what's happening to me?! omfg

the old high-brow/low-brow issue.

my friend called me low-brow for enjoying Australian Idol, when she likes a more obscure music trivia quiz show called spicks and specks rolleyes

They are entitled to their own opinion, you to yours. Some films aren't art at all. Some are.

I agree! Hats off to you! Sometimes I spew off at work in response to things that people are talking about in the break room that I don't agree with- then I'm the outcast. They all think I'm strange- but most of them do not live in urban MPLS and are older than myself. I've come to terms with this reality, but it still makes you feel somewhat isolated neutral
If you have to ask, it's more than worth it.

You are much prettier and I am sure you do not make those ridiculous faces..
But saying it like it is can be good sometimes- I need to start doing that myself!!

She is my role model for workplace etiquette. I want her to author a book, seriously. Or at least write captions for motivational posters I can hang at my desk.

i get like this sometimes. sometimes people act like idiots. i try to be more accepting about it but sometimes they just need to be told.
