The Blues Brothers

Blues Brothers was on the telly last night, I'd forgotten how much I loved it. We all think it was deadly right?
If you knew what I was thinking you'd be worried....

Great movie (although I can't say the same for the sequel). I still need to get the DVD that has some of the previously-lost footage restored.

the extended version is a ruin! Yuck! poo! boo!

the original cut is the best for this work of genius that you can get lost in. And Spielberg is the cook county clerk!

I feel that way about long boring awards night shows like oscars and grammys - actually it's almost become a tradition! redface

What's in the extended version? Definitely one of my favourite movies. Certainly in my Top 5 comedies - of course other John Landis works Trading Places and Coming To America also feature... and The Three Amigos wasn't too shabby either.

It has some "new" scenes, as well as longer versions of scenes that were edited for the original release. Altogether, it's 18 minutes of additional footage taken from a preview print that was found a few years ago. There's an interview with John Landis where he talked about it, as well as even more footage that was destroyed.

The Original was awesome. Great movie. The sequles sucked!
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.
