If your birthday falls on a Monday, you shouldn't age that year. Simple as that. I just realized my birthday falls on a Monday this year. What kind of crap is that? Even if I took the day off, it's not like I could whoop it up, because I'd have to be back at work on Tuesday. As far as I'm concerned, my birthday is already ruined.
So I think we should pass a law saying that if your birthday falls on a Monday on any given year, you just ignore it. You don't age that year. You party the weekend before, but your birthday gift for having a crappy day of the week for a birthday is that you just stay the same age. I think this is a fantastic idea, and I ask for your support. Thank you, that is all.

I think we should also have an AGE REBATE, where everyone can tally up how many birthdays they've had on a Monday, and they can send in a form and have those years deducted from their age. It's only fair.

Mondays are great for birthdays! Have friends take you out to celebrate on Friday night, a different group of friends take you out Saturday night, have brunch or dinner with other folks on Sunday day, rest a little Sunday night, and then make your co-workers buy you a cake and sing to you on Monday. Last year, I turned my birthday into a Hanukkah of sorts - seven days, eight nights of me being obnoxious and demanding some attention. And it worked! "She made me glad to be a man"

You're not helping my cause! I know. That said, it's hard to convince people to: buy you drinks and/or food, put burning wax objects into a cake and then sing to you, or buy things which are then wrapped in decorative paper and given to you - unless you're willing to admit you're one year older (and better!) [Edited 5/10/06 11:08am] well, i was thinking on these non-birthday years, people could just spread it out over twelve months and people could buy gifts for them regularly all year 'round. it would be kind of like a birthYEAR, only not. kind of like a zen/bizarro world kind of thing. i think this makes perfect sense.

Fantastic Idea! Mine falls on a Monday too. I was thinking yesterday that I don't wanna head into the "late 30's" just yet.
Though I still tell folks I'm 29 and I get away with it. It's a lot easier than telling them my real age. Christian Zombie Vampires
