People are way too hard on themselves, putting pressure on their shoulders to always "do" something.
Sometimes doing nothing is a great use of one's time. If it feels good, do it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

No, hon, it's fine. I use nickel plated super steel safety pins, the kind that my Mom uses...(Go to your local dry cleaner and ask to buy a box from them. Or, better yet, ask them if they would give you a handful or two. )

Sometimes doing nothing is a great use of one's time. If it feels good, do it. I agree. I used to beat myself up all the time, years ago, about things I hadn't done. Especially on Sundays, for some reason. It was always "I should have done this/should have done that...". F*** it. I work hard all week and I play/rest hard. Seems a good deal to me. And you can go too far to the other side of the spectrum. I know this girl who lives her entire life within certain parameters. Name a day of the week - in 3 months' time - and she can tell you exactly what she's doing that day. Or she can map out entirely what she's doing for the next few weeks. Yeah, she's super-organised and all that but I'd never want to live like that. Where's the variety? Laziness rules!

It doesn't even need to be a case of being lazy. I can think of few things more wonderful than just laying in the grass, staring up at the sky.
Technically, it means doing nothing. But you know what? Sometimes "nothing" can be beautiful. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Last time I rested in the grass looking up to the sky, a spider crawled onto my arm. ...and I haven't done it since.

Technically, it means doing nothing. But you know what? Sometimes "nothing" can be beautiful. Last week I was at a park near my house with my dog, just laying in the grass watching the clouds, and I realized it had been forever since I had done that. Decided it should happen more often. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I used to be lazy...now I got's shit I gotta do.
I'm still trying to be, and every once in awhile a little bit of my old self will emerge, but for the most part I stay doing something Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.
