Ginger is a delicious flavor.

I know of somebody who buys a ginger root and chews on it, raw. I've never gone that far myself but she says it's great.

nod it's a nice hot but sweet taste
so great
i use it in all my cooking

Holly basil is actualy more flavorful when cooking Thai Basil Chicken, but Sweet Basil adds its own nice twist. nod

I don't cook meat. And I only order tofu or wheat gluten (mock duck, seitan, whatever you wanna call it) when eating any kind of asian-variety dish at a restaurant or for take-out.

So I tend to like the subtler basil better. smile

my favorite thing to do with tofu is to buy the extra-firm kind and sautee it in wok oil or sesame oil, and grind a bunch of black pepper over the tofu as it heats up, because the pepper gets embedded in the tofu and tastes AMAZING with the flavored oil and the pepper inside. i also learned recently that i can use regular oil and add a little bit of curry powder, and it's just as yummy if not yummier. cloud9
