How many work for the money, but hate the job?

How many here have a job, but work for the money only? Is this because of the economic system, or do you worry that you cannot find a better job, that will pay more money? How many of you would quit, if you knew you could get a better job. Last Question. What is your fantasy job.
All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

Me. I make a lot of money, but I just want to quit and do something I'd enjoy.

I was just in Colorado for a wedding and I met up with one of my good buddies... he worked as an electrical engineer after college and was making pretty good money. He got married last year, went around the world for his honeymoon, lived in Argentina for 4 months and is now back in Colorado and says he will never do engineering again. He's probably going to focus on art/photography and do stuff that makes him happy. I admire him so much because he's one of the smartest guys I know and he could probably make a shitload of money doing something in engineering, etc, but he's choosing to focus on happiness, rather than money. I wish I had the balls to just quit my job and do something like that...

I've finally earned enough equity in my house that if I were to sell it I could make one of those major career change choices.

At issue is that I'm not sure what I want to do. I do know that I cant' continue doing what I do now becuase it makes me so unhappy.

I've had jobs where I hated what I was doing or was boring, the only thing I looked forward to was the pay cheque. Then it's time to move on and find a new job. smile

Every job I've had so far has been for the money. I've hated some, and been indifferent to the rest.

I wish I had some kind of idea what direction I want to go with my life. I know I'm only 21 and have my whole life ahead of me, but I can't even find a part time job for the time being that I don't mind too much. sigh

I had some temporary jobs I hated. I wanted money and this was the easiest way (packing shrimps and salmon ill ). I couldn't find a job I wanted and sitting at home all the time wasn't very motivating.
My current job is one I really like! I only have a temporary contract but there is a big chance I can stay. So hopefully no stupid jobs for me anymore.

Some people think I'm kinda cute
