stupid freaking computer at work, the main computer just crashed. Hardware support said they'll send a new
one tommorrow morning. Can't find the dell recovery disk. Support said call for a new one..:snort: that will only cost a couple hundred right?....meantime, all customers are being asked to wait till tommorrow afternoon. Stupid freakin puter hunk a junk | |

The newer Dell systems don't have recovery disks for the OS., it's stored on a partition on the hard drive. I forget which key it is off the top of my head, but you have to tap a certain key as the computer is rebooting, to take you into a control panel, where you can restore/repair Windows.
Were you talking about Dell support, or the tech people at your workplace? If it was Dell, they're generally pretty good about getting replacement parts out to you within a couple days. | |
