Hands up if you've never been unfaithful

wave

Do you think how attractive you are has a bearing on this? How about confidence? I've never cheated on my wife and she's the only person I've ever been in a relationship with, but I'm terribly shy and not particularly confident when it comes to my appearance, and I sometimes wonder if I'm really faithful or just so shy that I never put myself in tricky and tempting situations. Do you think if you're very attractive you have an excuse for cheating? Is it more difficult to stay faithful? Does it matter why you're faithful as long as you are? All these questions and no more, coming up, in this thread, right now.

I have had ppl be unfaithful to me in relationships and I wouldnt want to be the cause of pain to someone I love. Fact is, you are only fooling yourself.. you are not only being unfaithful to your partner but to yourself, the relationship and that stinks imo.
If you are attracted to someone else and want them, then leave the person you are with, dont think by two timing you are being clever, cos it isnt.

I would think I would be a born flirt and cheat if I didnt know myself better confuse but I am Miss Faithful..

hey now I am confused..

you mean cheating on a partner right? and not your partner cheating on their partner with you?

Cos I am guilty of that boxed

Yes, I meant you cheating on your partner.

So how is it different when you're the one on the outside? I've never even been close to that kind of situation.

Well, I don't know. Depends on your definition I guess. I have no answers, only questions. I've only been with one woman and never come close to cheating. As far as I see it, I've made a commitment and standing by that is extremely important. Sometimes I think I'm more committed to the idea of being faithful and being a good man than I actually am to my wife, but I think that may just be my cynicism picking holes unnecessarily. All I know is, I'm not scared of dying, not scared to live this life and not cram every possible achievement into it, and not scared of not finding the best everything I could possibly seek out for my life. I love my wife, don't get me wrong, but do I think at times there might be someone better out there for me? Yes I do, and the same for her in regards to me. But, this is just one road, one life, and I made a choice I'm happy with and I'm going to see it through. I don't see the sense in continually running around in circles looking for perfection. I'm happy and I'm interested. This life will be interesting and I'll be proud to say I lived my life with one woman, loving her, looking after her, and will have no regrets. If this one life is all there is, so what? There you go. I want to be interested, engaged, and never coasting. I could cheat, but my integrity won't allow it, and I know I will never cheat no matter what. My decision has already been made irrespective of what the future holds. It's my path and I'm loving seeing what happens as my life unfolds.

no that means the person you were with was, you were not the one in the relationship, however that does not get you off the hook if you knew the person was in a relationship, you should not have been available for them to cheat with.

lol

of course if you didn't know then you are off the hook.

and no I have never cheated, I believe that if you make a commitment you should stick to it and if it doesn't work any more for you then let that person go and move on.

I stopped checking women out the moment I fell in love. Why would I need to? That was the sign that I was in love. I figured the absence of wanting to do that was an indication that I had all I wanted or needed. Maybe I'm just a young naive pup.

Well, I've been done wrong too, so I guess things balance out.
I'd never do that now as I believe in karmic paybacks. lol

Plus, it's not nice and genuinely hurts people. neutral

guys, don't cheat.

if the relationship you're in is serious, it'll fuck you over for years afterwards. i'm talking like a soul death for the first few weeks and a gradual absolvement which may take half a decade.

that said, i did get something drunk and stupid out of my system that it seems some others haven't yet.

Hmm then I guess I am off the hook, cos the guy I was dating I had no idea he had a g/f and when I found out I was really upset and wouldnt play 2nd fiddle to anyone.. so we broke up..

Then he finished with her cos he wanted me back.. but then he wanted her back and it was all a bit confusing and horrible, but he chose me in the end and we were together a beautiful 2 years rose
