life is not about flying, but falling and getting up The title of this thread is the final line in a poem I heard on A Prairie Home Companion one night when I was home from college on break. I walked in to the room in the middle of the poem, so I don't know how it begins, what it's title is, or who it's by, but that line always stuck with me because it struck me as being so true.
This morning I was woken up by a phone call informing me that a family member of mine had passed away in the night after a long struggle with cancer. She was a strong woman who led a life that was alternately difficult and awesome. One day when I was visiting her she told me that she had lived a very full life and that she had no regrets. But even though she had no regrets, it was hard to see her suffer and even harder to let her go.

Ex-Moderator | I'm so sorry for your loss. And I never knew I was a Garrison Keilor fan till a friend of mine brought me to a live performance. Her uncle is a musician and has played for him for many years... it was some big deal when we went as it was an anniversary show or something. In any case, I really enjoyed it and wasn't expecting to at all. I'm excited for the Prairie Home Companion movie. |

The funeral is on Wednesday and I'm suppose to be reading a scripture. I'm nervous that I won't be able to get through it because I used to read scripture to her during our visits.
thank you everyone for your support!
