Yaaaaay! America found white tea. To be honest, anyone who buys tea in a glass bottle shouldn't be expecting too much. ... [Edited 5/6/06 0:52am]

JasmineFire said: brownsugar said: well then pay 16 bucks dude! lol what is so good about white tea anyways? what are the health benefits? i think that white tea has the same benefits as black, green, and orange tea only it's milder and doesn;t stain the teeth. i prefer red rose myself. a nice, strong, yummy tea. White has more anti-oxidants, followed by green, then blue-green (oolong) and finally black. Reverse the order for caffeine content. Some black teas have as much caffeine as a weak coffee. Anyone thinking about dropping $16 for white tea should at least make sure it's either silver needle or white peony at least. Another thing. Don't pour boiling water on loose white tea. Wait a minute first so it can cool down a few degrees. ... [Edited 5/6/06 0:54am]

I make iced teas from white, green, oolong and black, and it really doesn't suit white very well. Drank hot it should be mild and very smooth. I think it's great. Perfect for before bed since it's has very little, if any, caffeine. Typically you'd drink black tea in the morning to get you going (if you're not a coffee drinker), green tea in the day as it still has a little pep, and white tea in the evening for something smooth and relaxing. That's how I do it anyway. I've noticed some people think white tea has no flavour, but it does, it's just subtle. They've got some really good tea bag white teas now. The Clipper ones are pretty good and very inexpensive. Plus they're free trade. When you get everything just right with loose white tea though, it's the best thing on earth.

I like white tea, and I have some VERY amazing tea laying around. . . I have some Chinese oolong that completely blows my mind every time I drink it. . . and some cakes of green that are heaven, and will apparently get better with age.
But I have to say, I'm poor, and most often, I drink this, and find it to be totally delicious:
Had a pot this morning. It's comfort food to me. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

I will say, if you're going to drink white tea, you gotta just be drinking the tea. It's very delicate, it won't stand up to food, it's a waste of time if you're gonna put sugar in it. . . hell, I wouldn't even be watching TV or whatever while drinking it. It's subtle. And, often, beautiful.
And I would fully expect Snapple to fuck it up. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!
