OPINIONS PLEASE - WATER!

This evening I have had a very heated debate with my family about of all things - WATER!!

Here in the UK, there is a very serious water "problem", with hosepipe bans and even car wash shutdowns in some counties, and even no home car washing, plus other water restrictions and I have been arguing the fact that other drier Western nations dont seem 2 b having the same problems as we are having regarding water!!

The main problem, I beleive, is that the powers 2 b are not doing their sums right and its all down 2 bad management, basically!!

Can any of u guys tell me if there are serious water problems where u all live and if there are any water restrictions and bans, if any??

I doubt whether any other country has the same problems we in the UK are having!!

I live here (the mitten shaped state in the middle of the lakes):

"The Great Lakes are a group of five large lakes on or near the United States-Canadian border. They are the largest group of fresh water lakes on the earth and the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence system is the largest fresh-water system in the world. They are sometimes referred to as inland seas."

http://en.wikipedia.org/w...reat_Lakes

And there are times in the summer when there are water restrictions for things like watering your lawns. It's a matter of how fast they can process the water through the treatment plants.

But, beleive it or not, with us here in the UK, its because we have had no decent rain for a few months, but still that wouldnt reduce the water table THAT much!!

I live in sunny fucking florida where it rains every fucking day of the week in summer and the entire state is like a thin slab of pitted limestone floating on top of resevoirs of fresh and salt water.

And we've had a 3 year water restriction. neutral

Here in Canada water bans are common in the summer time. At least they seem to be every summer in Ontario.

eek Are you sure you live in the UK ?

Last time I was there it rained almost everyday.

I saw a documentary on TV where scientists said that people in Germany don´t consume enough water which , in the long run, causes a lot of problems.
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
