Colombia here I come! Just as the first proper heatwave of the year decides to hit London (paralysing most of our Victorian public transport in the process) I am about to board a flight en route to South America in order to visit my mum - and hopefully get a suntain in the bargain.
I was wondering if there were any orgers in Colombia. Would sincerely love to hear from them. Survival tips from orgers are also very welcome

Have a good time and come back safely. And be a bit careful when you´re there, I know Colombians and they tell me it´s quite dangerous there...then again, your mum lives in Colombia so you probably already know what it´s like there.

Thanks! I was already having fun during the flight to Bogota from Madrid. The Avianca crew were all very prim and proper to begin with, only to give up on the rowdy passengers who by then were serving themselves all the acohol from the trolleys...

Oh Natsume, it was mental in Bogota... Non-stop rain has meant thousands of people have lost their homes and the government has declared a state of emergency here. Fortunately I had booked an overnight stay in a hotel close to the airport before I continue with my journey to the Caribbean part of Colombia. I might be familiar with the way things work here but watching hotel staff carrying semi-automatic guns still takes some getting used to

I´ve heard they have some really tasty fruits there. I´ve had some for breakfast! Last night I finally made it to Santa Marta and mom´s GP was waiting for me at the airport with his wife and children. They took me to a nearby coastal town, formerly a smugglers´paradise but now a very impressive holiday resort famous for its beaches and killer views. I definitely had too much to drink because I did not notice when I they carried me to the sea. And they they threw me in the water
