Mr. I spent 800 dollars on a mattress for my bed...or 2 G's on a laptop or 500 dollars on your eye glasses...I mean I can keep going...My one luxury in life is meaningless compared to your many.

That is true... they serve entirely different functions. Shampoo/conditioner takes care of your hair, whereas a handbag carries your stuff.

Okay, we can go down that list:

• One spends about 1/4 to 1/3 of life in bed. Might as well buy a quality mattress and get quality sleep. I know what it's like to be a broke student, sleeping on a cheap mattress on the floor, with springs poking me in the back. Now, as for a handbag... I'm sure that Louis Vuitton makes high-quality products. However, I'll bet that other companies make handbags that are just as good... you're paying hundreds of dollars just for a brand name to show off. (By contrast, nobody walking down the street can tell whether I used Privé or Sauve in the shower that morning.) And given that almost 99% of alleged LV products are counterfeit, I assume that any LV handbag I see on the street is probably fake anyway.
