Question: "Henry" told Locke that he was there to take him back to join the Others...do you think they wanted Ecko as well? Because he said he was dragged into the jungle by two of the Others, but he ended up killing them both.

Considering Henry lies and is manipulative, it's hard to really tell. Locke is easily misled and makes mistakes because he is so...i.e. telling a lie to cover ANa Lucia's "accident" with Henry...led to that whole issue in the hatch.

I just don't see the ANa taking Sawyers gun and him not noticing. See it's things like that that get me all bothered. Reaching back for a gun that isn't there...come on. A gun is heavy and he would have noticed it right away...esp after she left in a huff. Lost isn't perfect. Even I can see some of the flaws lol

I am not sure this was a factor, but Sawyers episode was supposed to be the 2nd one, but they couldn't get the director they wanted, so they did a Michael one instead. It could be flashbacks and island time are shot at different times. I cna say this..it'd be impossible to shoot a Walt flashback now.

But really Sawyer's facial hair is a minor detail in terms of continuity and ALL of the details they need to look out for. I don't even know if Damon and Carlton are actually on location to help with the directing. Maybe if they were they would have caught it.

Sawyer right before the crash:

Sawyer right after the crash:

Sorry, but that's a HUGE consistency mistake...lol lol...My only point is what would cause a consistency mistake that big and that obvious? The first thing that came to my mind was that the Sawyer flashback scene wasn't originally part of the plans, and by the time they came up with it they had forgotten what they started out with in terms of his looks.

Yeah, the whole gun missing thing jumped out at me, too...lol lol...especially considering that Sawyer was nekkid when she took the gun!!...I mean, when he's putting his clothes back on (he already had his pants back on when the show returned to them both), you'd think he'd notice NOT putting his gun back in his waistband, yanno?..lol...

OK I see what you are getting at. His whole look is different. Like he got a make over between episode one and two. Doesn't mean he didn't shave right after the crash...or what ever. lol But that IS the pilot you are refering to. A pilot shot way before they got underway with it. I had an issue when I last saw the pilot and saw sawyer look like that...I'm like "when did he get a make over?" lol Basically going forwards instead of backwards.

I get your point. ANd there will be more "look" inconsistancies if they do more flashbacks to right before the crash. It'll be interesting how they pull offf the finale if they show folks in the plane again and then show what really happened. I am sure Charlie will still have his new hair cut.

But still this to me is minor...as it doesn't really take from the plot

lol, yeah, I see what you mean. The only way I can see this making sense is if the flashbacks turn out not to be real, but to be false memories - which could well be the case. If he's just remembering his flashbacks, it could be that his mind just fills in the blanks, and he doesn't remember having short hair and a cleanly-shaven face at the time...

Otherwise they just screwed up. It happens.

that's my guess. There have been other continuity issues that the fans have brought up and Damon and Carlton and basically they laugh and go "yeah you got us". As I mentioned I don't they are in Hawaii with the various directors and watching whats going on. I hope JJ comes back for next season.

hmmm maybe it was that continuity error that cause Javi (a writter/producer) to leave... lol

I am very disappointed that they didn't do more with Ana Lucia and Libby. Their characters had alot of potential. Note to self: TV producers don't like stars who get DUIs.

Numbers

All Things Considered, May 26, 2000 ยท Producer David Goren has the story of a mystery on shortwave radio. There are a number of stations which transmit nothing but numbers -- a series of numbers, read by an unidentified voice, all day, every day. We hear from several shortwave enthusiasts, and experts on international espionage, who believe that the numbers are encrypted code, delivered by government intelligence agencies to spies around the world. It is a mystery where the transmission come from, and who they are meant for. We hear the transmission of these "number stations" from the CIA , western European countries, and Russia. After the Cold War, many of the transmissions that were originating from Communist countries stopped. Many number stations today can be linked with Cuba, China, and Taiwan. Shortwave experts and code experts continue to be fascinated by the number stations -- the notion that what is coming out of your radio is meant for one person only, in a coded language only he can understand.

I guess Dharma provide razors. That's why none of the chicks have hairy armpits and legs.

You've never heard of Numbers Stations before?

You can download a ton of samples here: http://www.archive.org/details/ird059

I sometimes add them to mix CDs because they're so damn freaky.

The ones featuring childrens' voices are the creepiest. The Swedish Rhapsody has kids' voices in it, as well as menacing music box tinkling.

I don't find that creepy. Just weird. I'm gonna use it in music like you do, if you don't mind me nabbing your ideas. biggrin

Yeah, he could just ask to borrow Jack's clippers.
(Jack must have some... his hair and stubble hasn't grown in all the time they've
been on the island! )
wink

yep....wasn't this episode pretty good? It went in a blink of an eye though.
