Moderator | Lost 4/26 Fucking recap episode.
But,since they are recapping,do you guys think something BIG is going to happen next week? In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I just got into this series and I'm on the last few episodes of Season 1. Season 2 is in my Netflix queue, but there's no release date.
Is the season currently being played on ABC the 2nd season?

Once I finish the 1st season it will be tempting to watch the current season, unless they do a repeat--with episodes in the proper order--over the summer.

I know what you mean I like to watch episodes in order too. They might do that in summer, or they might just release season 2, but like I said tonight is a recap of seasons 1 and 2 ( so far) so if you really want to you can just watch it tonight and have at least an idea of what's going on. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

But,since they are recapping,do you guys think something BIG is going to happen next week? Well with 4 more left, there BETTER be some sort of big episodes. Next week is Ana Lucia's episode. It looks like the Henry Gale thing is gonna come to a head. Last nights recap reminded me of HOW MUCH has gone on this season. Christian Zombie Vampires

I hear that they are supposed to be offering these eps for free at some point, but I think that's with ABC. Christian Zombie Vampires

But,since they are recapping,do you guys think something BIG is going to happen next week? there's only 4 remaining episodes so..they should all be pretty good. since last night was a re-cap, I watched and noticed a few things....one thing I noticed was the convo between anna and libby...how in the middle of all the chaos, they have a small chit chat about what they do for a living...kinda weird, and it struck me suddenly that libby could be lying about what she does "clinical psychologist" I think she's clinicly psycho..but that's about it. I thought it odd they specifically showed that part where libby comments on the nice NEW washer and dryer there too...wonder why? "not a fan" yeah...ok

BTW.....
Lost executive-producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse spoke briefly about it in a podcast some weeks ago, and now ABC has finally announced the “Lost Experience”. In what’s being hailed as the largest interactive challenge based on a TV series, ABC and 19 other networks stretching across five continents are introducing “Lost Experience” — an Internet game that will feature a parallel story line that will give insight into the top-rated show. The interactive Lost experience will be launched on May 3rd together with the upcoming Lost episode “Two for the Road” Watch for a 1-800 number during the episode (not sure if it is in the episode itself) and you basically go from there. ALSO...Lost Diaries...the mini-eps that focus on other things going on the island finally will be broadcast. You will be able to download them to your phone or something. AND AND - BAD TWIN gets released on May 2
Book Description Sometimes evil has a familiar face . . . Paul Artisan, P.I. is a new version of an old breed -- a righter of wrongs, someone driven to get to the bottom of things. Too bad his usual cases are of the boring malpractice and fraud variety. Until now. His new gig turns on the disappearance of one of a pair of twins, adult scions of a rich but tragedy-prone family. The missing twin -- a charismatic poster-boy for irresponsibility -- has spent his life daring people to hate him, punishing himself endlessly for his screw-ups and misdeeds. The other twin -- Artisan's client -- is dutiful and resentful in equal measure, bewildered that his "other half" could have turned out so badly, and wracked by guilt at his inability to reform him. He has a more practical reason, as well, for wanting his brother found: their crazy father, in failing health and with guilty secrets of his own, will not divide the family fortune until both siblings are accounted for. But it isn't just a fortune that's at stake here. Truth itself is up for grabs, as the detective's discoveries seem to challenge everything we think we know about identity, and human nature, and family. As Artisan journeys across the globe to track down the bad twin, he seems to have moved into a mirror-world where friends and enemies have a way of looking very much alike. The P.I. may have his long-awaited chance to put his courage and ideals to the test, but if he doesn't get to the bottom of this case soon, it could very well cost him his life. Troup's long-awaited Bad Twin is a suspenseful novel that touches on many powerful themes, including the consequence of vengeance, the power of redemption, and where to turn when all seems lost. About the Author Bad Twin is the highly-anticipated new novel by acclaimed mystery writer Gary Troup. Bad Twin was delivered to Hyperion just days before Troup boarded Oceanic Flight 815, which was lost in flight from Sydney, Australia to Los Angeles in September 2004. He remains missing and is presumed dead. SSB- The manuscript was found by Hurley and he was reading it at the end of one of the episodes. Christian Zombie Vampires

Bad Twin - I'm planning on buying that.
The Lost Experience (hmm, sounds like a Prince maxi-single) - I am intrigued by this whole thing, although I mentioned it here recently and a bunch of people basically said Lost has jumped the shark (starting with the tattooed shark - must have been a conscious choice, I think). I'm looking forward to having some new Lost fun over the Summer without the show. ABC did something similar a few years back with Alias - I was part of the "Omnifam" e-mail list, where I was sent different tasks, and e-mailed back and forth with someone on Friendster about a package drop-off etc. - it was all good fun, but they seemed to drop it and lose interest after a while - perhaps when Alias lost viewers and gave up hope...

I don't see how Lost has "Jumped the Shark". I actually think that term has gotten used way too frequently...and not even meaning what it really means...which is a show has run out of ideas so they start doing the ridiculous and stunts to gain viewership. Please list the ways it has "jumped"...I'd like to to hear them out. I think with a show like LOST, there is a suspension of belief that one must have to get and enjoy the show. Like if Jin was suddenly preggers instead of Sun...THAT would be jumping to me. Or if somehow the ghosts of Boone and Shanon join the cast or if we found their deaths were faked or something totally outlandish, I'd agree. But the show is pretty tight and well thought out...with very little "unbelieveability" to it (like there is no way a person can crawl in a vent)...but those missed details are minor. The "shark with the tattoo" ...the tattoo wasn't even visable to the audience. One can only say that if they saw a screen capture or something. And certainly it would not have made sense at the time, because we barely saw the "dharma" symbols about...and wasn't even clued into that there WAS a symbol to be reconed with until esp 2.3. In fact it was AFTER that episode that we got the shark screen captures. And consequently all the fans went on a Dharma hunt in back episodes to see if there were any previous connections that we didn't know about. Christian Zombie Vampires

Hey, I'm totally with you - this is my favorite show at the moment (Alias used to be, and 24 is close behind) - I have never been so absorbed in a show before, and I ask questions on the official podcast etc. - other people here were saying the show had gone downhill and lost their interest, which I didn't understand at all...

A little info...There are a few books already spawned by the show. They are "unofficail" yet carry pics and such of the show. Think the Star Trek Books that are out there. These are very loosly based on the show. The creators of LOST like that fact that the show has caused a lot of people to do their own type of "art" and spinoff of the show. They encourage it actually. But these things have nothing to do with the actual plot of the show. SImilarly neither will the Lost Diaries...although that's being prodiuced by the show...they just won't be about the plot that's going on. (I have always had the theory that the other folks we don't get to see on the show are experiencing hteir own stories of salvation...so I think this will be about them) This book is a bit different. It is not written by the creators (I don't know who really worte it). It is a plot point of the show (just not sure how much of it will tie into the show). But it's more part of the mythology being built into the show. The guy was working on the book and was about to pass it off once he landed in LA, but the crash changed all of that. Now Hurley is reading it. Apparently the ony thing that it really ties into is the whole Duality thing that is integral to the show. Duality and Twins are a main focus of the show. We'll be dealing with the twin thing later on..me thinks. It would not surprise me if Sun has twins herself. The book is connected to LOST. Christian Zombie Vampires

I truly think the reruns have marred folks' opinion of the show. It is still well shot, well scritped, well thought out. Everything just about is top notch on that show. But doing a 3 run in which 2 eps are really good and one is "filler" and then break for 4 weeks is just too much on the audience. Other things I love is the mythology...like the orange shirts, the numbers, the interconectivity. I also love how they are creating homage to the many greats before them like Lynch and Kubrick. They obviously have done their homework and paid attn to where other shows have gone wrong like Twin Peaks and X-Files. Or how they give us those lost shots...like Jacks Dad on the beach Dad? on the computer That map on the blast wall Henry Gale hung up like Christ The Hallway in the Staff Station Christian Zombie Vampires

I hate "Lost"...
I'm watching the DVD from season 1 the other day...like maybe the 20th episode...and they're flashing back to Sayid and Shannon meeting at the airport, Jack and Anna Lucia meeting at the airport, etc...and they also show Sawyer being brought into a police station in Australia for getting into a bar fight with some government official, with the police captain handing him an airplane ticket and saying "Your flight leaves in one hour". Basically, Sawyer was getting kicked out of the country. Funny thing about Sawyer, though...I really liked how they made him change physically while on the island...in the first episodes he hair was medium length and somewhat well-kept, he was clean shaven...but the longer he was on the island, the longer his hair grew and it became greasier, he has facial hair growth that's not even close to neatly kept...it's a realistic portrayal of how he'd change over the 2-3 month period since landing on the island (why Jack's hair doesn't grow is another story). However, in that late-season episode when they flash back to Sawyer being deported and his plane "leaving in an hour", he looks exactly the stinkin' same as he does after 2 months stranded on the island!! His hair is long and greasy, his facial hair growth is unkept and patchy...yet according to the first few episodes, right after the crash Sawyer has short hair and is clean shaven!! Wtf?? How did Sawyer get a haircut and a shave while the plane was crashing over the ocean?? I hate "Lost"...

They can't get every last detail correct. I'm sure the flashbacks are difficult because of that very reason. Hurleys weight and Walt's height (wait for it) are a big issue that the producers and directors have to deal with. They are trying to do it as realistically as they can. You have to admit, It's sort of comical to see Jack and Locke in a wig...just to see how "real" they can get it, cuz we know it's shot in current time. Christian Zombie Vampires

Told you that Libby was going to bite the bullet, the actress has a lead role in an upcoming CBS fall comedy series.
As for Lucia, why take the jail time if youre not stayin on the island?? Or do you have to do community service in the district you did the crime?? The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.
