Anyone ever see the movie Deliverance?

Burt Reynolds was great in that movie. He reminded me so much of Marlon Brando. And Jon Voigt was great, too. Gotta say, Angelina is a beautiful woman, but her Dad is a much better actor.

Excellent movie!

The banjo kid was FREAKY.

My favorite Jon Voight movie is Midnight Cowboy. He was terrific in that.

Its not a pleasant watching experience. Having said that, I enjoyed 'Southern Comfort' more which was along the same lines.

duh lol Angelina's gorgeous as hell, but she's an overrated actress. Her movie choices could possibly play a role in that too. btw.....this one of the few Burt Reynolds movies that I like.

Case

Deliverance is a powerful film and very disturbing. One of the few films in Hollywood history to examine maschismo...and then give it the finger.

Poor Ned Beatty.

Gets raped in Deliverance and a few years later gets disrespected by Lex Luthor...

I mean c'mon Lex... Otisburg sounds pretty cool

It's a brilliant film.

The interplay between he and Dustin Hoffman was perfect.

Love that film. GReat movie. Wasn't there another one that was similar in a way with Pacino and Hackman?? I saw it a while ago. I can't remember its name. I also love Papillon with Dustin Hoffman and Steve McQueen. Those films were so powerful. What has happend to the movie industy anyway? The Marx Brother's Duck Soup(???) had so much more impact than many of the movies today. Yeah, I'm a fan of TCM. smile

I've seen this Deliverance over 20 times, read a book about the making of it, etc... never read the novel though.

I love John Boorman... Excalibar, Emerald Forest....

Lex did to Otisburg what that hillbilly did to Beatty's backdoor cherry.
Busted the crack it with his shaft.
