PrintableI don't really get crushes, here or away from the org, though I used to. In school I'd always get crazy crushes on girls and never do anything about them. I wouldn't even be able to talk to the girl properly owing to being so shy, so it would always be a bit of a painful experience.
One time I had a massive crush on a girl that I was temping with at a CD packing factory. I actually managed to talk to her and she didn't seem to mind.  We sat together every day and were thick as thieves. It was fantastic. I'd never had that kind of rapport with any girl. We had these really bizarre afternoons doing shrink wrapping where we'd be completely high from the fumes and couldn't stop giggling about stuff. She told me about her travels to Asia, Africa and India and that sowed the seed that would lead me to come out to Thailand the first time. It was something I never would have done otherwise. Looking back I think there was some real chemistry there but at the time I was 18 and she was 23 and to be frank I thought she was out of my league. I still think about this girl because we just had this amazing, fun connection, and while I don't wish now that we'd hooked up or anything, I'd just love to see her again and tell her about how she inspired me to travel and tell her about all the things I've done since. I have no idea where she is now since we were just both temping at the same company for a few months back in about 1999, and I never got her email address or phone number. Amazing though, how just that little connection completely changed my life. | |

I say apparantly, as i'd find out years later. Well thanx for telling me now LOL. I was just as rank then as iam now, but had pretty much no confidence with girls at school (in my area was different though)
though i was well known, as i was the class clown most of the time. It wasn't deliberate, i just find everything funny. | |
