The company I work for gave me a car as a part of my contract, but I can't exactly say that it's a luxury ride. In Japan they're known as "kay cars" (sp?) - small and boxy in order to take up a minimum of space on the outside but be as roomy as possible on the inside. Despite being incredibly small it actually has the best headroom I've ever had in a car. It also has a/c and is automatic (which helps since the steering wheel is on the wrong friggin side) so I'm not complaining.
The make and model is Daihatsu Mira. A navy blue one. | |

Everytime I get a new car, no matter how much I try to take care of it myself, someone else damages it and it's never the same. Then I spend the next several years wanting to get rid of it, LOL.
I bought a brand new Mustang in 99 and loved it. But the car literally got beat to hell, it was like someone or something didn't want me to have it. Every couple months, when I would park my car at work or the mall or wherever, when I came back, there was a huge dent in my door. It was in the shop 7 times getting dents repaired. Then my airbags went off unexpectedly one time when I hit a bump. And finally, my brother broke the driver side seat when he was moving the car in our driveway one day. I have a 2005 Escape now, and I like it actually. The only thing is the stereo that comes with it is really, REALLY lousy. But the car handles well (doesn't rock like a boat), and is easy on gas for a small SUV, and it has a little more space inside than a Jeep Liberty. I haven't had any problems with it, other than the Ford dealership scratched the hell out of my dash when they were checking something on my stereo. They painted over it, but the paint peeled in spots. I'm scared to bring it in again because they will probabbly fuck something else up in the process. I will probabbly get a Toyota Highlander next time around. | |

my wifes 1999 ford escort, actually fairly nice for an economy car (always buy escorts with manual shift) the ugliest car in the world, a 1991 ford tempo I got for a dollar off a woman at work and am giving to my son when he gets his liscense next week now the "nice" cars, a 1986 Jaguar XJ-S, the most beutiful car I have ever owned, it was leaking oil out of every gasket, so the last couple weeks I have been elbow deep in it's mind numbing v12 engine trying to seal it up finally is my 1991 Alfa Romeo 164l, a pinifarina sedan someday destined to replace the windstar, but currently recuperating after an engine transplant I did in less than perfect conditions, I am restitching it's seats while I install my dream stereo in it :OjitheFanKeybumpersticker: | |
