Crappy Cars

Okay I'm really sick and tired of my car- it's a piece of crap toilet but, I keep doing things to it hoping that it'll last one more day. It's one of those cars that gets you from point A to point B and I really wanna be a Jeep when I grow up. But for right now I'm stuck with this crap mad . Are there any orgers out there who have crappy cars also?( If you post a pic of a Mercedes I'm gonna cry). sad.

I have a crappy car! I bought it from a friend for $500 about 2 1/2 years ago. It gets me around, but that's about it. It needs a new muffler, so it's really, really loud. And there's no radio or stereo in it. But it runs.

It was cool when I bought it in 2001, but VW's don't age that well.
I've bot 80 thousand miles on it and 4 more payments. Once I'm done I'm gonna try and drive it for 2 more years and save the car payments on it towards a bigass downpayment on my next car. Hopefully my next car will be a hybrid or a 2008 scirocco shrug

I had good intentions of buying one for it when I bought the car. But really, I'm rarely in the thing for more than 15 minutes at a time.

I reallllly want to get rid of my car. It's a 99 Ford Taurus. The Check Engine Soon light came on two years ago and I had it checked out, but there wasn't really anything majorly wrong with it. It needs a new muffler. Two out of four of the windows don't work properly. Oh, and the windshield wipers are possessed and just go off whenever the hell they feel like it, or they stop suddenly when I want them on. The heat stopped working a couple of months ago, so I want to trade this off while it's warm. I have about four or five months, then. razz

True story:
This is my second new Beetle. My first one was a lease that attained in 2000, but a stripper who had just gotten off of work (and most likely high) crashed into me at night (he headlights were not on) and totalled my car.

Thank GAWD I had gap insurance on it, becuase I would have owed 4.5k out-of-pocket. But it still cost me 3 grand and my credit wasn't all that great in 2001, so I ended up with payments of 490 a month. sigh

I'll be much better prepared for my next purchase. I'll be a bit relieved not to have a car payment for at least a year, hopefully two. I want to sell it at 120 thousand miles. shrug

i had a crappy car that broke down after three months. disbelief i really got ripped off but live and learn, i guess! i still would like to stab the girl who sold it to me but i try to be zen about it.

now i have a nice car but unfortunately i backed into something so it has a dent. but considering that my car still runs and runs well, i don't care much about its physical appearance.

i still want to pimp it out at some point, though. giggle

Hahaha.

It's a Ford Escape, and yes it was crappy. I had to have the steering rack replaced when it was only 8 months old. It's wheels seized after being parked 2 weeks. It was a neverending pain in the ass.

I will never buy a Ford again.
