Any way to get rid of the slight fade-in on iTunes?

I only listened to 3121 once on CD before copying it onto my computer, where I've listened to it multiple times on iTunes. For a month now I've been thinking that Fury had a slight half-second fade-in, but after listening to the CD again yesterday, I've realized now that my iTunes must be set to have a slight fade-in at the beginning of the track (I've wondered about this before with other mixes too). How do I change this? I have it set to no "crossfade playback" - shouldn't this do it?

I'm about to buy an iPod, and if I can't get rid of fade-ins, I will be annoyed...
