I got a ticket for not yielding to a pedestrian who had just walked into the crosswalk 4 lanes away from me as I went through it... this is in Oakland - don't they have better things to take care of? The cop told me he sits out there and writes out citations all day.... Lame. Why don't you solve some of the murders in the city, huh? Lame.

If it makes you feel any better, I got a parking ticket the other week for not putting enough coins in the meter while running in a building to get something.

I used to get parking tickets on a daily basis since the school I was at is built in the middle of the city and there weren't really any student parking spaces. I got used to it though.....everyone else did too at the end of the semester, the total amount for tickets was about $100.

Moreso then your ticket. A friend of my friend was murdered here in Philly on thursday. He was shot by the police! He was unarmed! The cop shot him because he was running away from him after they found out he had a warrant out for "probation violation"! That's a real reason to be angry with the police!

And then moved towards his belt. Which of course was a lie. He was unarmed! It is a "coverup" for a cop with an itchy trigger finger. They were just playing craps on a street corner and the police broke up the game. How in the world can you get murdered by the cops by shooting craps? I don't care if he was on parole violation. The man was not previously in jail for attempted murder! He was not armed nor dangerous. Check the Philadelphia Daily News and you will see the story. It happened Thursday last week around 5'ish.
