lol at the theories.

nod People seriously think that. I was talking with one of our PhD researchers at the University and he told me the exact same thing.

I can see all of that because the feeling I always have is that there is a presence there. Like If I could turn my head, I would see someone standing behind me. A presence..... that is exactly what it feels like.

in '94-'96 I iused to get this. It was the most HORRIBLE TORTURE. You are going buck wild in your brain, even think you are calling out for help, but you are paralyzed. If your face is in the pillow, you are terrififed that you are suffocating.

You pray someone will come and just push you a bit, just one push to break the spell.

my god this has happened to me too...like i would be fighting to breathe because i couldn't move anything...but then when i would almost be at the suffocating stage, then i would wake up, sweating and breathing hard, trying to catch my breathe.... confused
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

This is how I got to shake Freddie's hand.....I called him in a lucid dream then I woke up in sleep paralysis, he was standing by my bed and I was able to touch his hand.....I am not mad, Im dead serious..... neutral dead serious. Ok, and in another dream I called him and he appeared in front of me with his wembley jacket then he turned around and walked off, then I appeared in another scene with him, under his eyes were a little red, he was just smiling...I think there was someone with cancer standing next to me, anyway I was just staring at him with my mouth open....then I woke up.

It happened to me just the other day - I liked it! boxed I was so warm and toasty and I couldn't move and I thought it a great excuse to stay in bed.

disbelief i'm disturbed at how you find it exciting, because I don't. waking up and looking around without being able to use your limbs or anything is scary.

not excited lol but I wasn't scared cause I knew what it was, I went straight back to sleep.

this is strange stuff. but if this happens to so many people, then how is it a disorder?

I'm not a clinician, but I think the severe cases are considered a disorder...the actual night terrors. There are sometimes when people's brains wake and their bodies are slow to respond...that's not a bad experience and I think people may be confusing the two.
